Categories
The awards have been separated into 12 distinct categories, including oil and gas exploration, production, transportation, and service and supply industries.
Oil and gas companies—large and small—compete against counterparts of similar sectors and annual sales.
Two awards will be given for each category: one for outstanding Editorial/Graphic Design and one for outstanding Financial Statements & Analysis. In addition, the Sustainability Award is given to the company demonstrating sustainability in reporting principles and corporate social responsibilities. The APEX Award is presented to the best overall annual report, taking both Editorial/Graphic Design and Financial Analysis into consideration.
New for 2011, Oilweek readers were given a chance to vote for their favourite annual report and the winner was given the People's Choice Award.
