Judges for this category will use unique evaluation sheets that are specific to the sustainability category. As with the annual report judging, judges will give a rating of 1-10 across a number of criteria that relate to sustainability. Sustainability principles and content will be judged, for a total of 220 possible points. There will be three judges for each of the sustainability reports. The winner will be selected based on the top average score, as delivered by the judges.
APEX AWARD

In addition to the above-mentioned awards, the APEX Award honours the best overall annual report, taking both Editorial/Graphic Design and Financial Statements & Analysis into consideration. This report will be selected by the coordinating judge, who will review the judges’ scores and comments for the 12 categories. In addition to selecting the APEX winner, the coordinating judge also reviews the category judges’ comments for viability, non-bias and general constructiveness. Based on this assessment, additional or revised comments may be requested from the category judges.

New in 2011, the People's Choice award allows Oilweek readers to select the annual report that they feel is superior in the areas of writing, graphic elements and how those elements work together. The first round of voting took place from September 15 to October 14, and narrows the entrants to the top five. The second round of voting, which determines the winner, takes place from October 15 to November 14. Congratulations to Strad Energy Services Ltd. for being the People's Choice!
