CERI’s ambitious study of the economic impact of oil and gas in Canada is expected to provide revealing detail of the importance of the west to the Canadian economy
The research is so detailed for the Canadian Energy Research Institute's (CERI's) calculations of the economic impacts of the petroleum industry that it would seem only fair to declare the results definitive.
No can do, lead researcher Peter Howard explains. "Forecasting is not absolutely perfect; things change," he says. "We can't model every aspect of the investment decisions-the banking decisions, government policy. There's no way you can handle all of that, so the forecasts are in fact best estimates.
