Saskatchewan’s oil production from conventional reservoirs is set to surpass Alberta’s this year. Part of that success is the role of government and technology.
Saskatchewan has a lot going for it, even in these economic times. Just last year, it led the country in economic growth, posted record-breaking oil and gas land sales, pinned the Bakken and Shaunavon oil plays squarely on the map, rolled in windfall revenues from the development of its massive potash reserves, built roads and other infrastructure…and all of it while managing to keep a balanced budget.
